Climate Control Systems

A vehicle’s climate control systems are responsible for keeping the driver comfortable in the vehicle during summer and winter months. It is imperative that this system works well not only for the comfort of the travellers but also for the health of the vehicle.

Heating System

Heating system is responsible to keep your vehicle warm during the cold temperatures. Heating system components include the heater fan, water pump, thermostat, heater hoses, and heater core. These components regulate the internal temperatures of the engine and vehicle cabin. What might be affecting your vehicle’s heating system:

  • Low coolant levels
  • Vacuum leak
  • Heater valve failure
  • Fan motor failure
  • Heater core failure
  • Stuck thermostat

It’s a really good idea to get diagnostics done for your heating system if you see stains under the passenger side of the dashboard or sweet smells coming from the air vents which are a sign of a coolant leak. These could be the result of a corroded heater core or cracks in the heater hoses. Of course, a simpler indicator is that the heating system is that it isn’t warming up your vehicle as before.

What we inspect during a diagnostic:

  • The heater core
  • Blower motor
  • Heater control valve
  • Water pump
  • Thermostat
  • Other components

At Dashmesh Auto our experienced mechanics can perform a complete diagnostic of the heating system and repair it if required.

Air Conditioning System

The main function of your air conditioning system is to keep your vehicle cool in the hot summer months. The compressor is the main component of the system and it works in tandem with the condenser, evaporator, and other parts. If any of these components cease to operate efficiently, the functionality of the entire system is at risk.

Indicators of a faulty air conditioning system:

  • Unusual amount of noise when running
  • Abnormal odors in the vehicle
  • Blows stale air instead of cool air
  • Coloured liquid on the driveway or parking
  • Smell of anti-freeze in the vehicle

What we inspect during a diagnostic:

  • Belts for cracks
  • Compressor for leaks
  • Electrical components for connectivity
  • Entire system for low pressure

Bring in your vehicle to Dashmesh Auto and we will perform a complete diagnostic as well as recommend and repairs if required.
